Jennifer Logan, DO
I received my BS in Biology from Cornell University in 1995. I then attended Western University of Health Sciences- College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, where I received my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in 1999. During my time there I came to realize that my true passion lie in osteopathic manipulation. This beautiful art looks at the relationship between the structure and function of the body, and uses gentle hands-on techniques to help each individual reach his or her fullest potential.
After medical school I earned a spot in the highly selective St. Barnabas Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine residency. This hospital-based training program at a Level 1 trauma center in the Bronx affords its residents unparalleled experience. Physicians from all over the hospital- pediatrics, surgery, neurology, etc. – would consult our service. Even those that didn’t really understand what we were doing knew that their patients did better if we were working with them. One of the greatest joys of this program is the honor of working with newborns on their first day of life.
Upon successful completion of my exams, I became one of only several hundred physicians in the country to be board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
I currently limit my hours of practice to fulfill my greatest calling – mothering my two wonderful daughters.
